Professional background | Jerome is a fifth generation Tasmanian who descended from a Dutch sailor that jumped ship at Port Huon in 1856 and carved a farm out of the bush. As Licensee and General Manager of the Riverview Inn and Mayfair Tavern in Sandy Bay in the late 1980's and early 1990's Jerome convinced Dire Straits bass player John Illsley and the Irish band, The Hothouse Flowers, to play for free at the Mayfair during their tour of Tasmania and in doing so created one of the most popular live venues in Tasmania at the time. Keen to explore the world, Jerome left Tasmania in 1993 to begin a professional sales career with SalesForce Australia a subsidiary of fortune 500 company Omnicom Inc., the world's largest communications corporation.
